Children & Nature

Children’s gardens are a wonderful adjunct to the regular indoor classroom.  These outdoor classrooms offer rich, hands-on learning opportunities for children that many of them cannot find elsewhere.  Integrating curriculum standards into the various activities that go into building, maintaining and simply spending time outside or in a children’s garden offer valuable alternative learning environments for children who learn differently.
